How to Measure Yourself

You will need a soft measuring tape and a bra to wear while measuring, ideally one that fits reasonably well already. Stand naturally in front of a mirror rather than straightening up artificially.

  1. Band measurement: Wrap the tape directly under your bust, where a bra band would sit. Keep it snug and level all the way around.
  2. Bust measurement: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and not pulled tight.
  3. Calculate your band size: Round your underbust measurement to the nearest whole number. If it is even, add 4. If it is odd, add 5.
  4. Calculate your cup size: Subtract your rounded underbust number (before adding 4 or 5) from your bust measurement. The difference determines your cup letter, using the chart below.

Cup Size Chart

Difference (inches) US Cup UK Cup
Less than 1" AA AA
1" A A
2" B B
3" C C
4" D D
5" DD DD
6" DDD / E F
7" F FF
8" FF G
9" G GG

Note: US and UK cup letters match exactly through D. Above D, they diverge, so always check a specific brand's own chart when ordering a larger cup size for the first time.

Band Size Reference

US and UK band numbers are identical: a 32 band is a 32 in both systems, and the same applies across 34, 36, 38, 40, and 42. Most Pakistani brands, including Nudra, follow this same band numbering.

Sister Sizing

Sister sizes are different band and cup combinations that hold a similar cup volume. Moving one band size up means moving one cup letter down to keep the same volume, and vice versa. For example, 34B, 36A, and 32C are all sister sizes.

Common Fit Problems, Briefly

  • Band rides up in back: band is too big, size down
  • Bulging at the sides: cup is too small, size up the cup
  • Gaping or wrinkling in the cup: cup is too big, size down the cup
  • Straps digging in: band is too loose, tighten or size down the band
  • Center front does not lie flat: cup is too small, size up
